December 31 - New Year's Eve party and ski outing at Mt. Shasta Ski
Park. Great weather, but not enough snow.

December 16 - First downhill ski trip of the year, at Mt. Shasta Ski
Park.




December 2 - A bunch of us enjoyed participating in the Redding lighted
Christmas parade.
August
26 – 4-mile hike in the Trinity Alps Wilderness to Hodges Cabin. 16-folks
made the hiked.

21 - Monday Club Board Meeting.
Aug
19 - Annual River Float down the Sacramento River to Anderson River Park,
then BBQ at @ Jim Stryker’s in Anderson-21-rafters, 2-canoes & 1-kayak
made the river trip.
Aug
12 - Trinity River Raft trip; 28 enjoyed this great day on the River &
dinner in Weaverville. 4 folks in kayaks, the rest on rafts. Gary G.
made it through Hell's Hole in a kayak without swimming (fear can sometimes be a
good thing...).
Jul
29 - Off Road Bike Ride, 12-people, good ride once the temperatures
subsided.
July 16 - Loomis Peak Hike
4-people, great weather, too much snow, turned around at the saddle, reschedule
after August.




July 8th - Bumpass Hell Hike 17-people, great weather, patches of snow,
marvelous views, pictures on website.
July 5th - Flatlander meeting with
guest speaker Bill Kuntz from BLM. 52-people attended.





July 4th – Lake Siskiyou campout and mt. bike ride (& push...).
22-people enjoyed great bike rides, some climbing, Mt.
Shasta Ski Park Festival & Mt. Shasta City Street Festival.

16-17 – Climb up Mt. Shasta with Jon P.
Beautiful weather found 12 hikers aiming for the summit.
10 made it to the top!

16-18 - 28-campers w/18-rafters traveled with Diana W. to Happy Camp west of
Yreka for a terrific campout along the Klamath River. Some took advantage of the local Mtn. biking, swimming, and
hiking. Salmon was one item on the
dinner menu at camp.
June
11 - 19-hikers joined Marsh & Chris B. for a 6.4-mi. hike up to
Burstarse Falls near Castle Crags and the NPCT.



June 18 - Campout and raft trip on the Klamath River.

10 - Riders numbering 12 Mtn. Bike rode with Jon on the Clikapudi Trail near
Jones Valley.
June
5 - Flatlander meeting with guest speaker Bill Kuntz from BLM.

4 - Another 17 folks joined Jon again to bike ride during the National
Trails Day from the Sacramento River trail up the old stagecoach trail where the
Ruggle's Bros. staged the robbery of a stagecoach back in the old days, then on
to ride around the town of Shasta. Approx.
15 miles.
June
3 - Kanaka Peak Climb during the National Trails Day, 12-hardy people joined
Jon Pecaut for this fun hike.








May 27-29 - Campout and crazy kinetic sculpture race in Arcata.
April 1 -

Another beautiful
Spring skiing day- snow stayed reasonably good until mid afternoon
March 26 - Mt
Lassen Snow Shoeing
Missed the trail to
Chaos lakes since the sign was covered by a plastic bag but the Manzanita
Creek trail was beautiful. Good snow once we got above the crust at the
lower elevations. Sunny and wonderful.
March 19 -
Igo Road Ride
Eight riders.
Beautiful weather after the clouds burned off. 29 miles, 1600 feet of
climbing, wildflowers, snow-capped peaks, and John P's new bike!

March 12- Mt. Shasta Downhill Ski Day
22 We Ski II members
showed up! Beautiful weather and the snow stayed skiable until mid
afternoon.
March 11 -
Mt. Shasta Climb
Jon P. and the
Mt Shasta Climbing group met and set up a training schedule. Most of the
events will be open to We Ski II, even those not making the climb.
February 19-
Intermediate Road Bike Ride
After a scrumptious breakfast
at the Cedar Tree Restaurant in Palo Cedro 14 of us (5 Mtn. Bikes, 7 road bikes
,and a tandem) rode the 18 mile loop from Palo Cedro down to Dersch-up the hill
to Millville Plains road and across to Millville to Palo Cedro- 7 riders
completed an additional loop around Swede Creek Road. Absolutely beautiful
weather -270* view of snow capped mountains- good workout Mike

11-13 Get-away to McCloud
Twelve us of spent the weekend
in a huge old Victorian house- " The McCloud House". Friday
night we made dinner and played a musical game (ok, so maybe I don't remember
its name) We skied, snowshoed, and explored- both Friday and Saturday and were
joined by five other We Ski IIers for dinner on Saturday. Major snow all weekend

7 people- outstanding weather and views- Bunny Flats to Sierra Club hut
and back- Hot Cider & Hot Chocolate in parking lot. Substitute leader- Dick

Cross Country Ski Trip
10 people- Great weather -Bunny Flats to Sierra Club hut for lunch -
met at "Has Beans" for warm up after. Janice

January 14-17 - Mt. Bachelor Skiing, Bend, OR
We ended up with two houses- 9 people in one and 7 in the other- typical Bend-
great skiing- some wind (and some fog, and some more wind, and some blowing
snow, and some more fog...but, the lift lines were short!) - good accommodations
and company - Thanks to Linda for arranging the second house. Chris

26 participants- We hiked up Manzanita Trail to the Bridge- Good

Saturday, January 8 - Oak
Bottom to Tower House District Bike Ride
Great ride- 13 participants- We rode from the parking lot across from the Oak
Bottom Store on the Ditch Trail & then up the switch backs to the Clear
Vista Trail and over and down to Camden House- we then returned. cool& a
little overcast but the trail was in great shape= wide variety of ages &
abilities and all had fun Jon P.
